danielle & caleb
20 . 01. 18
I had the pleasure of photographing Danielle & Caleb back in February of last year for their engagement shoot. We got along instantly and I found it so easy and natural to photograph them on the beach where he had proposed.
On January 20th, I had the honor of photographing their intimate wedding. There were no groomsmen or bridesmaids, their day was purely about them as two people; when I went to photograph Danielle getting ready it was such a relaxed atmosphere, just her and her mum Lynette touching up their makeup, preparing the flowers & laughing together.
I waited with Caleb for her arrival, he warned me he may cry and told me to just focus on her; as long as I captured her walking down the aisle that was all that mattered.
Their ceremony was special, intimate and emotional - family members spoke of the storms they had weathered together and how strong they were as a couple and as best friends. Home, seemed to sum Danielle & Caleb's relationship perfectly.
This day, in the 31 degree heat, was something special - the bride and groom didn't sweat the small stuff. They wanted to make sure their friends and family were comfortable and having a great time. I focused on the candids throughout the day as these moments were the ones they wanted to look back on.
This was my first wedding of 2018 and I couldn't think of a better start. Thank you Danielle & Caleb for reminding me why I love what I do.
